On Saturday, Rockdale’s Lil’ Diggers volleyball league concluded it’s fall season with three champions from their respective age divisions. The Purple Pandas won the first/ second grade division with the Maroon Mustangs and the Teal Turtles finishing in second and third.

Bulldogs unable to overcome tough Ganado squad

BASTROP—Thorndale’s 2022 season came to an end this past Thursday at Bastrop’s Memorial Stadium, where they lost to Ganado, 66-12. GHS came out firing immediately, with three unanswered touchdowns in the opening quarter to build an ideal lead, 21-0.

Campsey steps down as coach

On Monday morning, it was announced that Rockdale High School head football coach Jacob Campsey is stepping down from his position. RISD Superintendent Denise Monzingo said that Campsey didn’t resign, but has stepped away from the role he has had the last three seasons.
