RHS grad earns District 6-6A crown

Rockdale native Kortlin White (top left) with players from Lewisville High School, where he currently serves as the team’s running back coach and the strength-and-conditioning coach. This past Friday, the Fighting Farmers took down Plano East 38-14 to win a District 6-6A title.

Bocanegra competes Saturday

For the third time in his high school career, Rockdale’s Jesus Bocanegra will compete at the UIL Cross Country state championships. The Tiger junior competes on Saturday at Round Rock’s Old Settlers Park at 9 a.m.

RHS takes down Lady Bees, earn third straight trip to post-season

After falling to Rogers in their final district game, the Lady Tiger volleyball team was forced to face-off with Little River-Academy to see which team would get their district’s final playoff spot.

Fishing conditions in Central Texas

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 72 degrees; 12.98 feet low. Continued, significant cooling has occurred on Lake Belton, enhanced by Tuesday’s strong cold front and the mixing caused by strong winds. We now have uniform water temperatures found down to approximately 45 feet.

Tiger playoff hopes erased in loss to ’Bees

RHS (1-3) and opponent Academy (2-2) came into Friday with the same exact thing on the line. Whichever team left Tiger Stadium victorious would earn District 10-3A-I’s fourth and final playoff spot.
