Milano’s undefeated streak came to an end on Friday, when the Eagles couldn’t overcome a late second quarter surge by Bremond, losing 36-21. The Tigers, who were coming off two hard-fought losses to ranked district opponents Chilton and Granger, came out firing.

This year’s inductees to the Rockdale High School Athletic Hall of Honor are two former Division I athletes that also happened to roam the halls of RHS. One made multiple trips to the state track meet before becoming a Horned Frog and pole vaulting at Texas Christian University.

Runners compete at regionals this week

On Monday and Tuesday, 18 runners from Rockdale, Milano and Thorndale will compete at their respective regional meets. From RHS, Jesus Bocanegra will compete on Monday at Huntsville’s Kate Barr-Ross Park for his third consecutive trip to the Class 3A, Region III meet.
