Blue-and-Gold game this Saturday

This Saturday afternoon, RHS softball will open up their season for their Blueand- Gold game, an intersquad scrimmage with a mix of both varsity and junior varsity players on each team. First pitch at the Lady Tiger softball field is scheduled for 1 p.m.

On Monday, five Tiger golfers traveled east to Navasota’s Pecan Lakes Golf Course to play in their first tournament of the season. While in Grimes County, RHS sophomore Mason Lillard placed fourth overall with a score of 79.

YOUTH SOFTBALL

Rockdale Girls Softball League is holding sign-ups from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. this Saturday at the RGSL Complex and on Sunday at Wal-Mart from 10-2. League board members and coaches are also asked to help with field and complex maintenance this Sunday as well.

RHS lifters dominate at home meet

While in their own high school gymnasium, RHS powerlifters Elizabeth Perry, Ashley Gonzales- Reyes, Jill Eubank and Daniel Gardiner each broke school records at the Rockdale Invitational on Saturday.

Blue-and-Gold go cold late, fall to Rogers in overtime, 46-41

ROGERS—The Tigers were on fire in the first quarter, starting off with a 12-3 run over host Rogers, but spent the rest of evening with no luck in replicating that early run, falling 46-41 to the Eagles this past Friday.
