AUSTIN—At the UIL Class 2A state track meet, Thorndale junior Carson McCoy blazed his way to a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.79. Teammate and fellow junior, Jack Herzog soared to a height of 14’-6” in the pole vault.

The Under the Hood Show Dear Motor Medics, I have a car that needs a timing belt and it is going to cost over $1,700 to change. That sounds crazy to me. I have had belts changed before on my cars and they have never been more than $50 but none of my cars have had timing belts.

Thorndale Lady Dogs’ season came to an end last week, losing the area round series to Latexo in three hard-fought games. The Tigers came into the series with 27 victories on the season and took the first game, 6-5. Thorndale bounced back in Game 2 winning 9-5, but dropped Game 3 on Saturday 7-3.

Tigers baseball finished the season on a sour note by dropping their final two games of the year—the first, a 7-0 loss to Cameron Yoe and then they fell to Little River-Academy 3-2 in the season finale. RHS ends with an overall record of 13-14, 5-9 in district.
