RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

Belton Lake Water stained; 87–91 degrees; 4.00’ low. Black bass are good on watermelon seed crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Hybrid striper are good on live shad. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows under lights at night in 18 feet.

REUNIONS

RHS Class of 1968 The RHS Class of 1968 is planning its 50th reunion for Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Apache Pass Steakhouse, 9132 N. FM 908. It will begin at 3 p.m. with a social hour and the kitchen will open for the reunion from 4 to 5.

CASINO NIGHT

—The annual Casino Night, sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center drew a large crowd at The Ranch Saturday. The event raised about $12,000, according to Denise Brock, office manager for the Chamber.
