Bessie Lange Wise, 87, of Gause died Jan. 30, 2022, at Crossroads Nursing Home in Hearne. Her body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 12-noon, Sunday, Feb. 20, at Gause Full Gospel Church, 14069 E. US 79, two miles west of Gause, with Pastor Nicholas Burns officiating.

LAMPASAS—Daniel Waldo Griffin, 68, longtime resident of Lampasas, passed away on Jan. 30, 2022, in Killeen. Daniel was born on Oct. 1, 1953, in Taylor to Melvin Waldo Griffin and Doris Mae Henniger Griffin Poe.

Funeral services for Bobbie Dean Kelm Love, age 89, of Thorndale will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church in Thorndale, with burial in the Detmold Cemetery.

Wayne E. Jones, 66 of Austin died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at Dell Seton Medical Center at UT in Austin. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Philemon Brown, Pastor Willie Phillips and Pastor Charles Embra officiating.

THORNDALE—Larry Joe Fisher, 70, of Thorndale died Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Pastor Craig Schinnerer officiating. Burial will be at Salty Cemetery.

GAUSE—Donald (Donnie) Gene McBee, 86, of Gause passed away on Jan. 26, 2022, in Cypress. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Gause Baptist Church in Gause. Donnie was born in Houston to Ruby and Ocie McBee on Jan. 17, 1936.

GAUSE—Maxine McBee, 82, of Gause passed away on Oct. 1, 2021, in Cypress. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Gause Baptist Church in Gause. Maxine was born in Houston to Max and Aline Sawyer on Oct. 21, 1938.

Mattie Pearl McBride, 91, of Rockdale died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at New Hope Baptist Church in Rockdale with Pastor Kenneth Morris officiating. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

A celebration of life service for Marjorie Ann Johle Little, 84, was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, at Full Gospel Church in Rockdale with Pastor Casey Goetz of Tanglewood Baptist Church officiating. A p r i v a t e family burial will be held at a later date.

Niemtschk

THORNDALE—Eugene Otto Niemtschk was born to Otto and Meta (Rueffer) Niemtschk on March 30, 1928, in Thorndale. The sixth of eight children born in the house where he lived in, then for 33 years with his spouse Erma. Eugene was given the Rite of Holy Baptism on May 6, 1928, on his mother’s birthday.
