James “Jimmy” Wade Batchelor Sr., 79, of Eupora, Mississippi, left this earthly realm on Jan. 27, 2021, at the S.P.J.S.T. Nursing Home in Taylor. No funeral services will be held. He will be cremated at Smith-Trevino Funeral Home in Bryan.

Harold Alvis Biar, 89, of Thorndale died Monday, Feb. 8, 2021. Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22.

BURNET—Fred Johnson of Burnet, formerly of Rockdale, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Road 4 South, in Burnet.

Arthur John Nieto, 85, of Rockdale died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, surrounded by his family. Services were held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Father Pedro Castillo officiating.

Darrell Schwamp

Darrell Schwamp, 70, of Rockdale died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. There are no services scheduled. Following Mr. Schwamp’s wishes, he will be cremated. He was born Aug. 8, 1950, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Harold and Bertha (Powles) Schwamp.

Alexander Salazar Tovar

On Feb. 8, 2021, Alexander Salazar Tovar of Bartlett said his final goodbyes and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Dudley Harris, 69, of Rockdale died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at his home in Rockdale. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 8, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Brian Snodgrass officiating. Burial followed at Milano Cemetery in Milano.

Mildred “Fern” Bush, 89 of Milano, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, at Legacy Nursing Home in Cameron. Services will be private with burial at Newsom Cemetery in Pontotoc. Mrs. Bush was born May 8, 1931, in Llano County to Ray and Thelma (Talley) Adams.

Mills

Susan DeAnn “Wells” Mills was born on Nov. 29, 1962, in Rockdale on Thanksgiving Day to Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Betchan (nee Taylor) and Ted Roy Wells. She attended Rockdale High School and later went on to attend college at SCI in Austin where she graduated with a 4.0.
