Aliene M. Bauer, 91 of Waco, formerly of Rockdale, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at St. Catherine’s in Waco. A graveside service was held Monday, Aug. 31, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale. Ms. Bauer was born March 25, 1929, in Rockdale to Fritz A. and Dorothy E. (Taylor) Bauer.

Milton R. “Jim” Currey, 97, a long-time Rockdale business owner, passed away early Thursday morning, Aug. 27, 2020, at his home in Rockdale, surrounded by his family. Jim was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Rockdale to Peter Oliver and Ruby E. (Kelly) Currey.

Manuel “Manny” Evans, 63, of Rockdale, formerly of Marlin, died Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home in Rockdale. Memorial services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Visitation will also be Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Mr.

Legg

James Daniel “Jim” Legg Sr., 77, of Rockdale, passed away Aug. 27, 2020. J i m w a s born in Nov. 27, 1942, to Dan V. and Mary Ann Legg in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1961. He went off to join the United States Air Force and was a Police Airman in the K-9 Unit.

McIrvin

Elmer Archie McIrvin, 82, of Rockdale died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Temple. There will be a private family service. Mr. McIrvin was born Feb. 16, 1938, to Orlie and Goldie (Eagleburger) McIrvin in Wray, Colorado. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving for 17 years.

Roschetzky

CAMERON—Dorothy Lee (Posival) Roschetzky, 87, of Temple, formerly of Cameron, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, in a Temple nursing facility. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Memorial services for Frank Randolph Summers III (“Trey”) will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at the Milam County Cowboy Church near Rockdale. (Please note: Masks will be required for attendance to the service.) Mr. Summers died July 2, 2020. He was born to Rae Beth and Frank Summers Jr.

Ruby Iona Crim, 85, of Cameron, formerly of Hearne, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Forest Grove Cemetery near Rockdale with Pastor Jim Platt and Pastor Lance Walch officiating.

Norma Jean Dessens, 87, of Houston died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2020, at Gardens of Bellaire Nursing Home in Houston. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 25, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale, along with a celebration of life for her son, Steven Dessens. Mrs. Dessens was born Oct.
