My weekly bones to pick

This group of Rockdale High School student athletic trainers have been so well-taught, they didn’t even have to replace the school athletic trainer for the 2022 football season. The district now has someone from Baylor Scott & White come to the games to supervise. The BSW trainer told me—during the middle of the first game he ever worked with RHS students— about how welltrained they are and how much he doesn’t have to do because of their expertise. Don’t cut the program please, kids already don’t have a lot of options at Rockdale High School and the last thing kids at RHS need is even less outlets. —wt— On my way out of the office on Monday, my boss Kyle told me he had to head to a city council meeting.

Scenes from Senior Night

Rockdale fans celebrated senior night this past Friday at Tiger Stadium. Left, Bridget Grady performs with the Golden Girls during halftime. Far left, art students at RHS typically make a sign for the players to run through before games. This was different, as younger Rockdale students got to run through first. Bottom right, future Tigers and Lady Tigers getting to run on the field before the game began. Bottom left, drum major Clarissa Herrera leads the Big Blue Band from Tigerland during their halftime performance.
