Tigers Varsity Football Practice Schedule

6 p.m. July 27 – Parent meeting – High School Auditorium 1 p.m. July 31 – Team meeting and equipment issued 4 p.m. July 31 – Practice, ends 8:30 4 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 1-4 – Practice 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Aug. 5 – Practice 2 p.m. Aug.

‘Meet the Tigers’ set for Aug. 5

The “Meet the Tigers” event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Tiger Stadium.

Athletic parent meeting scheduled

The athletic parent meeting for fall sports for high school and junior high football, volleyball and cross country begins at 6 p.m. July 27, at the high school auditorium. The meeting will go over the athletic handbook for junior high and high school athletes.

‘Pigskin and Pearls’ event set for Aug. 24

The first annual Pigskin and Pearls event will take place the day before the season opener against Teague, on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The event is for all varsity football moms and will cost $20 per person.

‘Decals with Dad’ to be held August 18th

Fathers and male role models for all varsity football players are encouraged to attend Decals with Dad on Aug. 18. After practice that day, at approximately 6 p.m., the mentors will help the boys apply the decals to their helmets. There is no charge for the event.

Tiger athletics looking for student trainers

Youth camp

The third annual Rockdale Full Gospel Community Agility Training Camp was held on Saturday for students ages 7 to 17. The church provided free breakfast and, above, pickle ball was one of the activities.
