Bulldogs heats up win record with wins over Mustangs, Lions

The Bulldogs are on fire as they went 2-0 in the contest this past week. On Friday, The Bulldogs defeated the Mumford Mustangs 48-37. Chance Betak led the Bulldogs with 16 points.

Milano Eagles shine in games

The Eagles looked sharp this past week as they triumphed in their one contest. On Friday, the Eagles hosted the Dime Box Longhorns. Both teams played hard to the very end, and the Eagles prevailed 50-48. Ethan Gordon led all Eagle scorers with 18 points.

Lady Eagles tumble in week’s game

The Lady Eagles struggled this past week as they fell in their one game. On Friday, The Lady Eagles were scheduled to play against the Bremond Lady Tigers. Unfortunately the game was canceled due to COVID-19 precautions.

Ego is good, but too much courts trouble

Soccer teams prep for season with scrimmages

Soccer play has begun at RHS as the boys and girls played their first scrimmage on Friday. Both team’s faced the Academy Bumblebees as a benchmark to prepare for regular season play. BOYS—The Tigers looked sharp as they tied the Academy Bumblebees 2-2.

Lady Tigers continue winning ways

The RHS Lady Tigers continued their stellar season as they split their two contests. On Saturday, the Lady Tigers hosted the Burton Lady Panthers. RHS dominated the game from start to finish winning 56-33. Julie Bartsch was the top scorer for the Lady Tigers with 18 points.

Tiger JV split two contests

The Tigers JV basketball team struggled as they fell in their two contests this past week. On Friday, the Tigers traveled to Weimar to face the JV Wildcats. The Tigers fought until the end but lost a close one 55-52. Colton Bradshaw led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points.

BASKETBALL BRIEFS

Milano Boys—On Friday, the Eagles lost to the Somerville Yeguas 53-52. Jayce Todd led the Eagles with 22 points. Other scorers included Layne Telg 8, Weston Avrett 7, Bryson Richards 7, Hector Munoz 5 and Ethan Gordon 3. On Saturday, the Eagles were defeated by the La Grange Leopards 55-41.

Bulldogs win one, lose one

The Bulldogs went 1-1 this past week. On Friday, The Bulldogs were defeated by the Cameron Yoemen 88-51. Blake Roberts led the Bulldogs with 22 points. Other top scorers were Logan Davis 13, Chance Betak 9, Dean Johnson 4, Jake Ivy 2 and Cayden Nicholson 1.
