After a 10 day layoff, it took Thorndale players the entire first half to play their type of basketball and beat the Bluejays 46-42 in Monday night’s Class 2A bi-district playoff game. “We didn’t play real great. The group played hard defensively” said Coach John Kovar.

Rockdale Invitational begins Thursday

Seven teams will be competing in this year’s Rockdale Softball Invitational Tournament at Rock-dale High School. The Lady Tigers varsity takes the field 9:30 a.m. Friday and the junior varsity squad will play 9:30 a.m. today. Entry fees for tournament are $2 for students and $4 for adults.

Rockdale runners are headed to Caldwell to kick off their season by competing in a duel/tri practice meet on Thursday. “The only thing that I am looking for from our kids on Thursday is the endurance level that we are on in our races,” said Coach Lewis Edmonson.
