As the snow began to melt last week, Rockdale High School track and field teams made their way out to the football field for their first practices of the 2021 season.
Former RHS head football coach Jeff Miller was named District 17-6A Coach of the Year after going undefeated with Cypress-Fairbanks High School in their Houston-area district and finishing the season with a 10-2 record that ended with an area round loss to Katy-Tompkins.
For the first time this season, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will face rival Thrall when they cross the Williamson County line Friday night for their games.
With school canceled in Milano ISD last week, neither the Lady Eagles or Eagles played a game.
