BREMOND—Milano junior varsity boys and girls teams won top honors at the Bremond Tiger Relays on Feb. 27. The boys’ junior varsity team scored 110 points and Bosqueville and Dawson tied for second with 107 points. The girls’ JV squad dominated the team standings by 36 points.

Both boys and girls soccer teams, who are struggling through injuries, lost their District 26-4A matches. The boys’ teams lost to Eastside Memorial in Austin 8-0 on Monday, Achieve 7-0 at Tiger Stadium last Friday and New Tech Manor 4-0 in Manor last Tuesday.

Golf Coach Ethan Noel took five players to the Hutto Golf Tournament last week, where 30 teams competed at the par 71 Star Ranch Golf Course. “The Rockdale Boys went to Star Ranch with three golfers,” said Noel, whose team rosters are changing because of basketball season ending.

Rockdale softball fans will have to wait until the March 10 District 19-3A game against Lexington to watch the Lady Tigers take the field at home. Last week, the weather wreaked havoc on Coach Meghann Infantino’s carefully planned seven-team Rockdale Softball Invitational Tournament.

RHS Powerlifters do well in Salado Rockdale powerlifting teams did well in the Salado Eagle Invitational last Thursday, according to Coach Jacon Campsey. Campsey took 2o lifters to the final tournament of the season and said first and second place finisher may qualify for regionals.
