Tigers fall to Bulldogs, beat Eagles

The Rockdale Tigers lost 66-36 to Thorndale in their final game of pre-district play. “We played hard,” said Sean Coleman, Rockdale High School boy’s head basketball coach. “But that was not enough. “We still have not put a full game together when it comes to executing a game plan,” he said.

Lady Eagles mark first district win

The Lady Eagles got their first district 25-2A win on Friday against the Holland Lady Hornets 46-36. The contest was close early on with Milano, 1-1 in district and 6-12 overall, leading 19-16 at the end of the first quarter.

Lady Bulldogs blast St. Andrews 47-14

The Thorndale Lady Bulldogs improved their overall record to 12-2 with a 47-14 non-district win over Austin-St. Andrew’s on Friday evening. The Lady Bulldogs were led by Elise Biar with 19 points, and Maddie Smith with nine.

Highway 79 battle goes to Bulldogs

The Thorndale Bulldogs defeated the Rock-dale Tigers 66-36 in their final pre-district game on Friday. “I thought we played hard,” said John Kovar, THS boy’s head basketball coach. “We moved around on defense really well.” The Bulldogs took over in the second half, outscoring the Tigers 30-9.

RHS tracksters hope to soar to new heights this season

The Rockdale High School track and field teams began their third week of practice on Monday after school at the new Tiger Stadium. “In my nine years of coaching, this is the most excited I’ve ever been,” said Lewis Edmonson, RHS head boy’s track coach.
