Services for Kathleen Meyer, 83, of Rockdale were Monday, March 9, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Greg Spears Burial followed at Minerva Cemetery. Mrs. Meyer was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Minerva to Bose Ethridge and Bertha (Beathard) Robinson.

Sugg

Mary Olive Spivey Sugg was born on June 29, 1932. She lost her valiant eight-year fight against Alzheimer’s Disease on Feb. 22, 2020. She was born in Moultrie, GA, and when she was a young girl moved with her family to Wilson, NC, where she grew up and graduated from high school.

Bustamante

Steve “Stinky” Bustamante, 71, of Luling, was born in Edinburg on Aug. 23, 1948 to Esteban Bustamante and Teofila Morales. He died Feb. 24, 2020, at Ascension Seton Hays Medical Center in Kyle.

Evans-Thompson

Nancy Evans-Thompson, 72, of Rockdale passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 in Cameron. She was born on Sept. 27, 1947 to Jack F., Sr. and Laura A. (Lanford) Lands in Houston. She worked as a nurse.

Dyer

James Nicholas “Fugi” Dyer of Rockdale was born Feb. 27, 1966 in San Antonio and was placed in his Dad’s arms ten days later. Fifty-three years later, on Feb. 15, 2020 Fugi was placed in his Heavenly Father’s arms.

LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Robert Earl Brister Sr., 80, of Lexington where held Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Lexington United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Reagan Seaton officiating. Burial followed at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Brister died Friday, Feb. 21, in Caldwell.

Services for Edna Jean Lewis, 70, of Rockdale were held Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. E.M. “Mike” Thrash of East Houston Bapt i st Church officiating. Burial was at Milano Cemetery. Mrs. Lewis died Wednesday, Feb. 19, at her home in Rockdale.

Elmore Lincoln, a lifelong resident of Thorndale, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park at the age of 80.

Jimmy New, 83, of Rockdale, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020, at a hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale and burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

AUSTIN—Amy Kathryn Fine, 49, died at her home in Austin on Feb. 14, 2020. She was born on May 25, 1970, at Richards Hospital in Rock-dale to Nancy Owen Burd and William Clarke Bennett.
