James Shelby Newman has moved on upstream to find a new fishing hole. He passed away peacefully on March 18, 2020. Shelby was born in El Campo in 1930 to parents N.N. and Vashti Newman, and his family moved to Rockdale in 1943.

Donald Royce Eubanks, 80, of Odessa passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020, surrounded by his immediate family. Donald was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Sugar Land to W.H. and Lucille Eubanks and was raised in Rockdale.

Frank B. Felton, of Thorndale passed away March 12, 2020. Fr ank was born in San Gabriel to Andrew Jackson Felton and Wilma Mattie “Billie” Worley Felton on July 30, 1933.

Billy Jack Kirkpatrick, 79, of Friendswood and longtime resident of Alvin, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. He was born Nov. 22, 1940, to General Richard Kirkpatrick and Maggie Fortenberry Kirkpatrick in Honey Grove, and had one brother, Richard Magness Kirkpatrick.
