RJH teams go 2-1 against Caldwell at Tiger Stadium, junior varsity falls 20-6

Early scoring helped Rockdale Junior High’s eighth grade “A” team secure a victory when they took down Caldwell Thursday evening at Tiger Stadium. In the first, Demander Nunn got things going with a 50-yard TD run. Wilmer Sorto Ventura’s two-point kick gave RJH an 8-0 lead.

For the Thorndale Bulldog football team, Friday night’s 35-10 win over Holland seemed like a night where almost everything went right according to head coach John Kovar. “Holland’s program is always top notch and they’d just beaten a really good Hearne team” Kovar said.
