Two local softball teams tops at state

Two Rockdale teams finished in the top eight out of 16 teams in their respective age division at the Texas Teenage Softball state tournaments this past weekend.

Astros start state tourney

The Rockdale Astros started the Texas Teenage Baseball 8U Coach Pitch State Tournament this week in Temple. The District 5 runner-up got off to a hot start on Monday night with a 16-8 win on Monday night over the Mildred Eagles.

Rockdale track athletes dominate at regional
