RHS fares well at Texas Relays

One of six Rockdale High School athletes advanced to the finals in the 92nd Clyde Littlefield University of Texas Relays one of the top track and field meets in the country. Will Storey ran a 10.89 to place eighth in the 100-meter dash during the invitational tournament.

Lady Tiger softball team gets their groove back

The Lady Tigers got their second win of the week defeating Lexington 9-2 at home on Friday evening, a team they were 10 run-ruled by three weeks earlier. “I think the atmosphere of being at home is something that helped us,” said Erin Palmer, Rockdale High School softball coach.

Eagles sweep Bartlett

The Milano Eagle baseball team defeated Bartlett 10-3 at home Monday evening to close out their series with the Bulldogs. The Eagles got things going in the bottom of the first when BHS pitcher Roy Degollado walked runners in to give MHS a 2-0 lead.

Milano, Thorndale boys compete at Texas Relays Christian Thurman, Gus Downey, Drew Demeritt and Devonte Jones competed at the 92nd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Jones tied his personal record time of 38.62 in the 300-meter hurdles.

RHS boys golf in first place after one round in district

In their first day of the District 19-3A tournament at the Texas A&M Campus Course in College Station, the Rockdale High School boy’s golf team is nine strokes ahead of the Cameron Yoe with an overall score of 347.

Lady Tigers blowout Cameron Yoe 15-1

On Tuesday night at Mark Humble Field, the Lady Tiger softball team snapped a four-game losing streak, unleashing a 15-1 whooping on Cameron in a game that lasted only five innings after the 10-run rule ended the contest early.

Relay teams finish second in Cuero

Rockdale High School boys track coach Lewis Edmonson brought five members of his relay teams to the Adcock Gobblers Relays in Cuero on Saturday. “That was the best we’ve run all year,” Edmonson said. “We definitely rose up for the challenge.
