THS beats Axtell 69-0 at homecoming game

For the second time in three games, the Thorn-dale Bulldogs beat an opponent by more than 50 points defeating Axtell 69-0 at Friday’s homecoming game at Bulldog Stadium. THS built an early lead in the first quarter with a six-yard TD run by Cain Brymer, his fourth of the season.

Milano Lady Eagles begin District 25-2A play 2-0

After defeating Buckholts 25-8, 25-5, 25-11 in the Geneva Paceley Gym on Saturday afternoon, Milano finishes their first week of District 25-2A play with a 2-0 record. The match was the third time the Lady Eagles had defeated the Lady Badgers this season.

Tiger JV gets first win

Rockdale’s junior varsity football squad got their first win this past Thursday with a 38-6 win over Lexington. The Eagles took an early 6-0 lead toward the end of the first with a three-yard touchdown run and a failed conversion.

Lady Tigers fall to more experienced THS team

Rockdale fell in three sets to Milam County neighbor Thorndale in what was a close 26-24, 25-21, 25-11 game. “ I was happy with how we fought in the first two games,” said Kelsey Hudson, RHS head volleyball coach. “ But I felt like we could’ve played a lot better in the third.”

Eagles fall late in Burton 28-7

Milano came up short in the second half to a highly-touted Burton team in a 28-7 loss on the road Friday night. “ We didn’t capitalize on opportunities later in the game,” said Chad Lagrone, MHS head football coach. “ But we did well early on.”
