In front of countless friends and family at the Law Offices of Carroll Glaser on Wednesday, Rockdale High School senior Ross Loth signed his letter of intent to continue his football career at Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth.
“The pressure’s finally off,” Loth said. “I know where I’m going.
Milano finished off the calendar year playing in the Somerville Tourney.
As of press time, the only score made available was the Eagles’ 48-36 loss to host Somerville.

In Texas Football Magazine’s Rising, a recruiting guide for high school football players around the state, Rockdale’s Cam’Ron Valdez was named to the Top 100 recruits from the Class of 2021.
The publication said Valdez was a “Big-play threat as a runner and shows good burst and acceleration.
Rockdale trainers Briana David and Nygia Crawford and starting wide receiver Ross Loth were named to the Academic All-State team earlier this month.
All three students maintained a grade-point average of 92 or above for the entirety of their four year high school career.
Friday night at Tiger Stadium was a success for the RHS boys’ soccer team, defeating Conally 3-2 in their season opener...but not without some turbulence near the end.

On Tuesday, the Tigers got back in the swing of things with a 55-44 win over Snook at the RHS Gymnasium.
The score was close for much of the game with Rockdale leading by one at the close of the first and leading 24-22 at halftime.
For the second straight season, the Lady Tigers won their District 19-3A opener after tearing down Cameron in the Lady Yoe’s own gym 53-29.
